Assistant Building Surveyor

The building surveyor will work within a multi discipline team providing core building surveyor and property surveying support. This building surveyor opportunity provides exposure to a broad range of building surveying instructions.\n\nThe Company?\n The Building Surveyor will join a property consultancy delivering cost, project and technical surveying services across the UK. The organisation works with private and public sector clients providing practical building surveying solutions.

The building surveyor will support a pipeline of West Midlands surveying work while contributing to national surveying delivery.\n\nThe Role\n As the Building Surveyor you will deliver professional building surveying services across a varied portfolio of instructions.\n\nThe role will include:\n * Conducting building, measured and condition surveys and preparing clear client reports\n * Preparing and negotiating dilapidations assessments\n * Providing contract administration for refurbishment, extension and new build projects\n * Supporting preparation of tender documentation, contracts and client agreements\n * Undertaking site inspections to monitor project progress, cost control and potential risks\n * Supporting feasibility studies and option appraisal work\n * Advising on party wall and neighbourly matters where required\n * Completing building reinstatement cost assessments\n * Preparing planned preventative maintenance schedules and reports\n * Working with wider project and technical teams to support delivery outcomes\n * Supporting business development activity when appropriate\n\nThe Building Surveyor?\n You will be a motivated Building Surveyor with experience delivering surveying services across project and professional instructions.
