Role: Prison Security Escort\n\nLocation: HMP Chelmsford\n\nStandard Rate: £12.71 per hour + 33 days holiday pay\n\nOvertime rate: £16.89 ph (overtime after 39 hours)\n\nDuration: Temporary role, with the opportunity to be long term\n\nTypical hours: Monday to Friday: 08:00-17:00\n\nAs a Prison Security Escort, you will work alongside the prison service, assisting our client who is responsible for the maintenance of the buildings. You will be a part of security team where you will escort and oversee contractors such as carpenters, plumbers and electricians, whilst they complete their maintenance work.\n\nDuties of a Prison Security Escort Include (but not limited to)\n\nChecking the identification of the contractors\nChecking contractors have been briefed on security measures\nBooking in and out of the contractors\nCreating a tool list\nEscorting contractors through the prison to their place of work\nOverseeing contractors whilst they are working (Please note you will have to stay with the contractors at all times)\nChecking contractor tools are all accounted for prior to leaving work area\nUsing the radio to request permission to move contractors within the prisonAbout You:\n\nYou will have good communication skills\nHave excellent attention to detail\nBe safety conscious\nHave been living in the UK for the past 3+ years\nBe able to pass security vetting (includes providing references, passing security police checks & providing photo identification)Why should you apply?\n\n33 days holiday per year\nNo experience required\nFull training provided\nAccess to internal roles within a government facility, often with the potential to apply to permanent positionsDue to the nature of the environment, you will be asked to complete the standard Security Vetting for the establishments.\n\nIf you are interested in this Prison Security Escort position based at Chelmsford, CM2 6JT please apply and we will be in touch.\n\nSkyBlue is an equal opportunity employer
